- You need to arrive at 21 or the closest possible with a minor number. If you go over 21, the dealer wins, despite his or her hand.
- The dealer should hit until he or she gets 17 or higher.
If you start your turn and receive an A + a card that is worth 10 (11+10=21) you get blackjack and win. Usually, it means that you win 150% of the amount of your bet plus your original bet.
