Wind Creek Hospitality launched its first retail sportsbook this week through a partnership with Betfred USA Sports, the US division of British sportsbook Betfred, which the casino operator signed on to earlier this year.

Betfred Sports betting center had an opening last Wednesday at Wind Creek’s Wind Creek Bethlehem Casino in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

The sportsbook occupies the space of the former Buddy V’s Ristorante and features two state-of-the-art video walls, 31 televisions, three betting windows, and eight self-service bookmakers. The space also has multiple viewing areas and a sports pub serving food and drinks.

Wind Creek and Betfred will hold a grand opening ceremony to celebrate the new addition to the Wind Creek Bethlehem offering. The event will take place on Saturday, November 21 and will be attended by guests.

The opening of the retail sportsbook marks the culmination of a sports betting agreement between Wind Creek and Betfred that the two companies signed last January. The launch of the physical facility will be followed by the launch of an online sportsbook powered by Betfred in the coming weeks. The digital product will be available in Pennsylvania.

The Betfred sportsbook at Wind Creek Bethlehem is the Operator’s third retail facility in the US Previously, he opened sportsbooks at Grand Falls Casino & Gold Resort in Iowa and Saratoga Casino in Colorado as part of partnerships with casino owners.

Expansion into a “massive sports betting market”

Commenting on their expansion into Pennsylvania, Betfred USA Sports COO Bryan Bennett said they are “extremely excited” about their partnership with Wind Creek and that “They couldn’t be happier with the launch of our third US-based sportsbook in a year. ”

Mr. Bennett added that Pennsylvania is a “Mass market for sports betting” and that they hope to help Wind Creek Bethlehem become a “destination of choice for sports bettors.”

Wind Creek Hospitality President and CEO Jay Dorris said opening a sports betting center on his Pennsylvania property offers “another attractive gambling opportunity for our guests” and that their partnership with Betfred will allow them to provide “First class sports betting experience in a high-energy environment for the property. ”

Wind Creek obtained the regulatory approval required to offer retail gambling experience at their Bethlehem casino as well as a digital gambling product last June. The addition to the retail facility is part of the property’s ongoing expansion.

Wind Creek bought its Bethlehem casino in 2019 and promised to invest $ 100 million in the construction of a 270-room hotel to be attached to the property’s existing 282-room hotel and other $ 250 million in the construction of an indoor water park and entertainment complex.
