By Ucatchers

Hello, fellow readers of Wincatchers and welcome to our review on Apex Legends, an impressive free to play royale battle game released in 2019 for PC, Ps4 and Xbox One, with a really potential success that can make it rival with giants titles of a similar genre, just like Fortnite or Halo, among others.

What is Apex Legends?

Produced by Respawn Entertainment, the game came to life on February 2019 and in less that one year, it presented amazing numbers: 25 millions downloads and and impressive amount of 2 million players battling at the same time. That’s such a number, don’t you think?

According to players, one of the main reason for its sudden success is the variety in matters of characters and also the possibility to make them grow really fast, that is to say, to make them evolve much faster than in any other game. As you see, even though it has not the marketing of titles like NBA2k or Fifa 2020, its popularity raise and raise the same.

Apex Legends Gameplay

The game is set in a fantasy world, 30 years after the events of TiTanfall 2, a previous succesful game released by the same producer. As we stated before, it’s a battle royal game, so you need to defeat the others before being beaten. Don’t forget that it’s a group game, so you need to raise your team skills to get better chances.

You start your adventure by taking part on a group of three, with a maximum 20 teams playing at the same time. At the beginning of the game, your team is dropped from the skies on any random region of the stage map.

As the map is always shrinking, you need to be in action really fast, looking for the rest of the players and taking your time to improve your skills as amuch as possible. For this purpose, you need to travel the map searching for equipment, especially weapons, while you have to face opposing teams.

It is worth noticing that in this game characters are called legends, so not all of them behave in the same way and have the same characteristics. In fact, you have four skills you have to attend to in order to improve the level of your “legend”:

  • Offense
  • Defense
  • Support
  • Recon

What’s more, you need always keep in mind that it’s not only a survival but also a team game, so you can help and be helped by your teammates. In fact, it is possible to be wounded and end up in a bleed state waiting for tour team to revive you.

Mobile Phone Version

A king of game like this surely needs a mobile version. Despite this affirmation, there is not an official version for cell phones nowadays. It is said that there were some communication problems among gaming software developers.

However, you can keep calm because, after several missinformation, EA has announced the release of this game for mobile platforms for the end of 2020. It’s expected to rival with titles like Fornite…but, we need to wait until a demo version is released to give our opinion of that.

Apex Legends Betting

Due to the fact that Apex Legends is too new as a game, at the moment there are no online gambling platforms currently accepting bets on games. It’s expected, however, to have this schance soon, especially after the impressive response to the Twitch Rivals Apex Legends Challenge tournament being held in 2019.

All in all, it is a really interesting and addictive game and a potential esport game that is worth trying it. Even though there isn’t a version to place your bet on this now, it’s just a matter of time to have your chance of betting in the future tournaments that are arriving soon.
